This is 1 gallon of Premium Vinyl Ester Resin which includes the correct amount of hardener. Vinyl Ester Resins are stronger than polyester resins and less expensive than epoxy resins and are chemically similar to both polyester and epoxy resins. They were developed as a compromise between the two materials, providing the simplicity and low cost of polyesters and the thermal and mechanical properties of epoxies. Vinyl Ester resin is formulated for maximum corrosion resistance to most fuels, vapors, and both acidic and basic chemicals. It is also heat resistant and blended for toughness. Toughness, moisture and chemical resistance, good cosmetics, and a rapid cure make it ideal for skin coating and suitable for hand lay-up. These qualities make it perfect for repairing tank linings, blistering boat hulls, as well as fabricating tough all-around parts. Compatible with all of or fiberglass cloth and chop strand mat. Vinyl Ester Resin creates lightweight finished parts that have increased strength, toughness, high temperature capabilities and good corrosion and moisture resistance. Item #1125
